Magnolia Scented Da Fang

Da Fang is an exquisite green blend that exhibits the natural sweetness and mellow flavour of the magnolia flower. Da Fang (Green, Magnolia) means green magnolia in Chinese.

 The Magnolia Scented Da Fang White Tea is produced using Da Fang cultivar, which is the same cultivar grown for Silver Needle white tea.This is a rare cultivar cultivated in Fujian and alone among white teas, does not undergo oxidation. This tea is picked when the flowers are in bloom, and allowed to wither naturally in the open air.

 The tea is picked in early spring, and the leaves are allowed to wither before being steamed and rolled. It is then dried and compressed into white tea.

 While it has a fine taste similar to Silver Needle white tea, this sweet tea is beautifully hand rolled, and the bouquet is delicate yet complex, sweet magnolia is the dominant note with traces of fresh green cut grass, brown sugar, and wet stone with a smooth, fruity finish.

It's a delightful tea that's light, sweet, fresh, and floral, possesses a delicate flavour and light texture, as well as a sweetly floral scent and aroma.
